A Hodgepodge Mind, Trying to Make Sense of it All

Hello, my name is Jerrod Ketchersid. I graduated from Wichita State University as a Strategic Communications Major.

I never thought that I would get swept up into the life of bloggers, but found that I may not have a choice.  My biggest fear with this blog is that I will find myself with nothing to say.  I have a mind that goes and goes and goes…sometimes keeping me up at night because I can’t stop thinking, but it is never about the same thing.  Most blogs that I have read tend to have some kind of theme. Do I talk about Politics? Religion? Photography? Books? Writing itself?  I DON’T KNOW!!! I enjoy talking about all of these things, but I don’t have a special or adequate knowledge of any of these things to write in great length.

So I have decided to write about anything and everything that happens to come to mind that I feel needs to be said. Whether anyone reads this blog or not, whether it gains popularity or not, whether I do a few posts and then decide to go on a completely different path or not, who knows. Who cares? This blog will be about me. My thoughts, my ideas, my photography, my everything.

Please explore this blog by going to the topics that interest you on the right side of this page.

I hope you enjoy!

  1. Nice, You are braver than I.

  2. To Jerrod: The poor guy that sits behind me and complains about having to drive all the way from Rose Hill to sit in Ms. Nordyke’s class! : ) I admire you for doing this. I think you write well. Good luck to you!

  3. Jerrod, I really enjoyed getting to see some of your work in the Portfolio session this week. I think as communication students we all are based off of some of the same personality traits and one of those is that we always have something to say! I recently started blogging myself, as did Jennifer. She asked me the very same thing that you stated, “What do I write about?” I think you hit it right on the money when you decided that you are going to write about anything and everything. Just write what matters to you and don’t let anyone’s opinions get in your way of writing. And be sure to post your photography! I love what I have seen so far!

  4. Jerrod, It was such a pleasure working with you on the Orpheum fundraiser this semester. You are so smart and talented, that there is no doubt that your future as a communication professional is extremely bright. I will never forget your teamwork and friendship since we have met.

  5. hey that was a great read . Thanks for the great post .Loved every part of it.

  6. Ok you have floored me LOL
